Inter-district Attendance Transfer PermitsParents who have school-aged children and wish to attend a school other than the one in their attendance area, and must receive approval for an inter-district attendance transfer permit (if they reside in another district).NOTE TO EXISTING AND NEW INTER-DISTRICT TRANSFER PARENTS Assembly Bill (AB) 2444 was recently signed into law, to take effect on January 1, 2011. ?Under AB 2444, a student, who is already enrolled in a school district on an interdistrict permit, no longer has to reapply for a transfer and will continue to attend the school in which he or she is enrolled, as a resident of the district. The exception would be if a student’s permit was revoked, or if the student is entering grades 11 or 12. It would behoove parents and students to carefully read the terms and conditions of the interdistrict attendance agreement before signing it.
